Athlete of the Week: Joel Evans

Joel Evans has been a big contributor to the Warriors’ boys’ basketball team’s success.

Senior Joel Evans has been selected as the Warrior Watch Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 2/8/2025. Evans is averaging 15 points a game and is leading the team in rebounds, averaging 10.5 per game. He contributes two steals per game to help the Warriors defensively. Evans’s teammate Coby Kephart stated, “Joel is a tremendous part of our team. He is always getting us points and rebounds when we need them most. His success on both ends of the court has led to our team’s success in winning the ICC North title and the MoValley League title.”

Evans and the Warriors will take on the North Star Cougars in the ICC semi-finals game at Claysburg-Kimmel on Friday night.

Hi! My name is Gracie Eyerly and I am a junior at West Branch. This is my second year involved in Warrior Watch and I am also involved in FCA, student government, prom committee, and I’m on the softball team. After high school, I plan to attend college to become a physical therapist.
