Senior Luke Liptak has been selected as the Warrior Watch Male Athlete of the Week ending on 4/14. Luke and the baseball Warriors had three wins in the week. Luke got the win on the mound against Juniata Valley on 7 strikeouts and only 2 hits. Luke also had 2 hits for himself in the game.
Then Luke had 2 RBIs and a run scored against SouthernHuntingdon the next day. Then on Saturday, Luke got the win against Saint Joeseph’s Catholic Academy. Luke had 7 strikeouts and 0 earned runs. At the plate, Luke had 3 hits, an RBI, and a run scored.
First Baseman Nick Parks commented on Luke’s performances on the mound. “Lip has been dominant on the bump for us. Not much shakes him on the mound, he just hammers in strikes all game.”
Luke and the Warriors are back in action on Tuesday, April 23 to take on the Glendale Vikings.
