As the spring season approaches, the West Branch Warrior baseball squad is looking to have another outstanding season. In 2024, the team finished as the District 6 runner-up after losing to a strong Bald Eagle team and went on to the state playoffs. They traveled to Wyalusing Valley and lost, bringing their season to an end.
The baseball team continues to grow and is determined to make the most of the 2025 season. The Warrior baseball team is led by head coach Aaron Tiracorda and assisted by Tom Lannen, A.J. Coval, and David Learish. Many returning letter winners will be joined by the leadership of four dominant seniors: Lukas Colton, Chad Smerk, Logan Liptak, and Gavin Rothrock. This experienced group of seniors has a positive outlook for the upcoming spring season.
Following behind them are juniors Coby Kephart, Payton Kephart, Nick Parks, Dylan McGonigal, and Mason Amos. The sophomore class includes Hansen Lannen, Kaleb Kio, Caleb Hudson, Justin Esposti, Frankie Leskovansky, and Brandon Brooks. Lastly, the freshmen are David Kindelberger, Maddex Bickel, E.J. Reams, Grayson Hartzog, Cale McDowell, Porter Ryen, and Keegan Reitz. The 2025 roster boasts great talent and many options for the team’s success.
Senior Logan Liptak spoke about the team’s goals and what he is excited about for the upcoming season.
The team is highly dedicated and has already been putting in quality time and reps in the batting cages. Some players have also been training in the gym since January. With the season starting soon—just a week after the first mandatory practice on March 3rd, the Warriors are preparing to hit the ground running.
The team will travel to Saint Joseph’s for a preseason scrimmage before facing tough regular-season opponents. They will open their regular season with a home game against Glendale at 4:30 p.m. on March 20th. Come and support your Warrior baseball squad as they kick off the 2025 season!
