Athlete of the Week: Skyler Hebel

Skyler Hebel has been a steady contributor for the girls’ track and field team.

Skyler Hebel has been chosen as the Warrior Watch Athlete of the Week for the week ending 04/05/2025. In a recent meet against Mount Union, Hebel placed first in discus and javelin, earning 10 points for the meet. She threw 80 feet, 6 inches in discus and 109 feet in javelin. The girls’ team swept the Trojans, bringing their record to 3–3.

Hebel is in her third year of track and field and is one of seven juniors on the girls’ team. So far this season, she has contributed a total of 38 points. Coach Adam Carr comments, “Skyler is already the 3rd best girls javelin thrower in West Branch history, and has had a hot start to the season. She set a new personal record with a throw of 109 feet at Mount Union. She has also greatly improved in discus. She is a tough competitor, and has a real shot to do well at districts.”
